Aloe Vera is a forever crowd favourite with it's green fleshy leaves and very basic care needs. We don't need to tell you that it's been known forever for it's medicinal properties, and is widely used in cosmetics as well. On top of that it's a real beauty!:) We also heard that it's one of the very few plants that absorbs CO2 at night, making it a perfect bedroom plant!
It comes in a 12 cm pot, and is approx 30 cm tall.
Light: High. Too much hot sun can burn the leaves and give the plant a scraggly appearance, but this shouldn't be a problem in Ireland, so just put it on your brightest window! Dark corners makes it said and much more susceptible to root rot.
Min light - 400 FC, Good growth - 800 FC
Water: Low. Aloe prefers to be watered regularly but will tolerate draught well in case you will leave it home alone for some time or forget to water. Make sure soil is completely dry before watering.
Pets: Although considered a medicinal plant for humans, they're toxic to cats and dogs.
