Opuntia quitensis is honestly one of the cutest cacti we've ever seen. And it's currently blooming with bright red flowers, fully showing its South American spirit! Please handle with extreme care especially if you have kids and pets - it IS prickly!
It comes in a 10.5 cm pot and is approximately 20 cm tall.
Light: High. As much light as you can give them, as much direct sun as you can give them. They'll be sad if left in a dark corner, but they'll be very-very slow to show it.
Min 400 FC, Good Growth 800 FC.
Water: Low. We don't need to tell you that - if you left your cactus in the office in March, and you're still working from home, it's probably still ok! The soil need to get completely dry, and then a bit dryer, before you need to water your cactus baby. Water plenty though - think of a torrential rain once a year in Sahara - it rains very rarely, but it's like a flood.
Pets: Non-toxic to pets, but definitely painful if they try to bite it!
