Spathiphyllum 'Alana' (Peace Lily)
Spathiphyllum is not just beautiful but also an easy care and useful houseplant - it removes toxins from indoor air. Its another name Peace Lily perfectly reflects her appearance. Will grow fast and big, so prepare to repot often, if you wanna have a statement plant, or keep it contained for a smaller version!
It comes in a 12 cm pot and is approx 40 cm tall.
Light: Low-Medium. This plant can tolerate any amount of light except direct, but the more light it gets - the more it blooms.
Min light - 100 FC, Good growth - 200 FC
Water: High. Alana is a drinker! Spathiphyllums love their water and will show they're thirsty by drooping their leaves, so it's important to check every couple of days, and water if the top layer of the soil is dry. They will bounce back almost immediately, if left dry - don't do it very often though (will cause leaves to turn yellow)! If it happens - shoot some wild timelapse videos of their leaves bouncing back in the matter of minutes!
Pets: Toxic to cats and dogs. Unlike a true lily it's only mildly toxic, however if you have a plant chewer in the family - probably bets to avoid.
